What isIPLand how does it work?

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a technology that emits pulses of light at different wavelengths, making it possible to treat a range of skin and eye conditions without damaging the surrounding tissue.

🔹 On the face, IPL works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, reducing fine lines, blemishes and redness.

🔹 For the eyes, applying it to the eyelids reactivates the meibomian glands, improving tear quality and relieving dry eye.

It is a quick, safe, non-surgical treatment that delivers progressive, long-lasting results.

When is it recommended?

✅ Sun spots and uneven skin pigmentation.
✅ Dull skin, loss of elasticity and fine lines.
✅ Rosacea and telangiectasia (visible red thread veins).
✅ Dry eye caused by meibomian gland dysfunction.
✅ Patients looking to rejuvenate their skin without surgery.

If you would like brighter, more even skin or want to relieve dry eye syndrome, IPL is a safe and effective treatment with multiple benefits.

What does the treatment involve?

1️⃣ Initial assessment to determine the appropriate protocol.
2️⃣ Cleansing of the skin or area to be treated.
3️⃣ Application of conductive gel and protective goggles.
4️⃣ Delivery of light pulses to the treatment area.
5️⃣ Moisturising and sun protection after the treatment.

Each session lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, and 3 to 5 sessions are generally recommended for optimal results.

After the treatment

✅ Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF50 sunscreen.
✅ Moisturise the skin and apply soothing products.
✅ Avoid harsh exfoliation on the treated area.
